The purpose of every field trip is to broaden the intellectual, cultural, and social experiences of each child. There will be no overnight field trips. Each student's parent/guardian must provide written permission for each trip in order for the student to participate. These forms will be sent home prior to the trip.
A class trip is a privilege, which can be taken away if a teacher deems it appropriate.
If a parent/guardian does not wish their child to attend a trip for any reason, he/she should notify the school. The child must attend on the day of the trip or he/she will be marked absent.
Parents may be asked to chaperone a class field trip. In order to be a chaperone, a parent/guardian must have current child abuse and criminal clearances and have attended the Archdiocesan Safe Environment Workshop.
