You will have a workbook, but we will do science journal entries as well. Please have a pack of lined paper for this purpose.
Inexpensive supplies for labs may be requested throughout the year
Math Classes-
You will need a total of 3 composition books (of any cover design you choose) for the year for your notes and homework. One per trimester. If you don't choose to buy them all at once, that's fine, but please be sure to have a new one ready when the time comes.
PENCILS
a Texas Intruments (TI) calculator, preferably TI-15 or above.
Social Studies Classes-
For the year, three composition books for notes.
General for Personal Use-
A set of colored pencils
Writing utensils of your choice (with the exception of pencils for math)
Something of your choice to keep your supplies in, previously known as an "art box." Can be a bag, box, or case, but it should be something that won't wear out halfway through the year and that will hold what you need.
Your choice of organizational strategy - either an 8 pocket folder or a binder with dividers/folders. It is your choice, but you have to have something to keep rubrics and other handouts in. You have up to this point been exposed to enough organizational formats that you should know what works for -you- but if you don't, pick one and I will help you get started. If you need to switch later, that's ok too.
General for the Classroom-
A pack of lined paper
A pack of expo markers, preferably colored but black are appreciated too
Paper towels
A three pack of tissues
Clorox wipes
Suggested but Not Necessarily Required-
A small pencil sharpener
An extra eraser
Glue sticks or elmers glue
A small personal stapler. This is especially handy.
Eighth Grade Fees will be discussed at Back to School Night.
